Favorite Fish

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen fish fillets (usually cod or halibut)
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 2-3 chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons wheat germ or breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup or more grated cheese

Directions

Put the partially defrosted fish fillets in a shallow buttered casserole dish.
Add a can of mushroom soup and spread it over the fillets.
Sprinkle on top: the onions, wheat germ or bread crumbs and cover with grated cheese.
Bake covered or uncovered at 350 - 375 degrees for about an hour. Depending on whether the fish is completely defrosted or not, it may take a shorter time. This time is primarily for fillets that are still pretty much frozen, just thawed enough to separate the fillets.
