Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients

  • 1 pound butter
  • 2 pounds brown sugar
  • 1 pound white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon allspice
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • 2-3 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • rum

Directions

Melt the butter in a large frying pan. Add the sugars. Cook until the soft-ball stage is reached. Add the spices and lemon juice To serve: one TBS in bottom of mug 2-3 whole cloves, 1 stick cinnamon and add boiling water and a jigger of rum.
