Triple Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (3 oz) white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (3 oz) milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts

Directions

Makes 16 brownies. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a saucepan combine butter, sugar and water and heat just to a boil. Remove from heat and add semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla. Stir until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixtrue. Stir in chips and nuts. Spread batter in a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake 30 - 35 minutes. From the 55 Best Brownines in the World by Honey and Larry Zisman p 30-31.
