Simple Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 large chopped garlic cloves
- 28 ounce can tomatoes - can be crushed
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- parmesan cheese if needed
Directions
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until tender. Add tomatoes, crushing them with wooden spoon, sugar, basil, Tabasco, salt, and pepper; cook for 15 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add drained hot pasta to pan and toss, or put over pasta when serving. Serve with cheese if needed. Serves 4
Use about 1/2 to 3/4 pound of spaghetti, linguine, or vermicelli.
