Jalapeno Jelly

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup ground green bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup ground Jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 1 6 ounce container liquid pectin
  • green food coloring

Directions

Grind the peppers(use rubber gloves for the jalapenos as the seeds burn the hands). Combine peppers, vinegar and sugar in large kettle and bring to a boil. Boil 4 minutes. Remove from heat and cool 1 minutes, add pectin and a few drops of food coloring. I strained through a sieve into jars (hot sterilized). Seal with paraffin or whatever.
