Chicken in a Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 3 pound chicken, cut up or whole
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup water, chicken broth
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon basil
  • herbes provencal

Directions

Put carrots, onions and celery in bottom of crockpot. Add whole chicken or chicken pieces. Top with salt, pepper, liquid. Sprinkle herbs over top. Cover and cook until done. Low: 7-10 hours High: 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours, using 1 cup water.
