Lime Chiffon Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1 juice of lime
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 baked pie crust

Directions

Add gelatine to cold water. Cook over hot water: juice, sugar, egg yolks. Stir often until thickened Add gelatine. Leave over heat a few minutes. Cool Beat 4 egg whites stiff with a pinch of salt. Fold in cooked mixture and put in a baked pie crust. Stand several hours before serving. Put whipped cream on top before serving.
